We are a small landscape company in Arvada, seeking a resourceful, energetic, and results-oriented team member to support our accounting manager and provide general office support.
Accounting / Bookkeeping (80% of role): This is very much a hands-on position, and with a small company you will be involved in many different aspects of the business from AP, Payroll, Multi-Jurisdiction Sales Tax, various data entry functions, and other general accounting duties.
Experience in QuickBooks (including generating standard reports and troubleshooting) and Excel manipulation is necessary. We use QuickBooks desktop (not QB online) .PAYROLL (weekly): Enter timesheets and process weekly payroll in QuickBooks Desktop, including PTO, bonuses, deductions, and special adjustments. Ensures proper contributions are made to Colorado Secure Savings, CO FAMLI and other similar entities. Files all payroll taxes (weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly).
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE (weekly): Enter invoices, bills, and credit card receipts weekly. Process payments to vendors.
CO SALES TAX FILING (monthly): Must have multi-jurisdiction sales tax experience in Colorado and be adept at managing the state's complex sales and use tax website and requirements.
Office support (20% of role): includes light filing, entering new employees in QB, reporting new employees to CO NewHire website, etc.
Compensation will be competitive according to the skills and experience of the individual. This role requires an organized and dependable individual that can work independently and will take ownership of their job.
