This part-time, hybrid role is based in Sacramento, California at our headquarters in Old Sacramento.
Primary Role
The Accounting Assitant is part-time role supporting a growing, fast-paced finance team with accounting functions and assisting in order processing and collection.
Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for this role.
Responsibilities Accounting Functions: - Journal Entry and Reconciliations: Record journal entries based on supporting documentation, review account balances and post required adjustments.
- Accounts Payable: Facilitate on time payments to vendors.
- Order processing and A/R collections: Manage the end-to-end customer manual order process, from order entry to timely receipt of payment.
- Maintain General Ledger and Records: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts. Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all financial transactions and activities.

Collaboration: Work effectively with internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Interpersonal skills: Interact with all levels of management and build strong working relationships.
Problem-solving: Use analytical skills and knowledge to identify and resolve financial and accounting issues.
Accountability: Organization and ownership of all assignments to ensure timely delivery of financial reporting.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 1 year of experience in a similar accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and core accounting principles.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic, hybrid work environment.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with ERP and finance systems such as NetSuite, Tableau, or HubSpot is a plus.
Salary & Benefits
- Hybrid remote position in Sacramento
- 20 hours per week/flexible hours
- $25-35/hour based on experience
