AFTER SCHOOL Elementary/Middle School Teachers NEEDED!

Teachers Wanted for AFTER SCHOOL Program for School Site in Aspire East Palo Alto.

Sylvan instructors are needed to teach an in-person after school reading and math intervention program. You will work with small groups of elementary/middle school students, focusing on building their reading and math skills. Teach in the afternoons Monday-Thursday or Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Leave happy with no additional work to take home!

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or experience working with K-8 students.
• Must be comfortable with technology.
• A passion for education. We love teachers who love teaching!
• We are looking for teachers who have the ability to connect with students and motivate them.
• Must have the ability to bring the curriculum to life. We are looking for teachers who have a personality and can make learning fun.
• Must be available in the afternoons at least 4 days/week, Monday-Thursday or Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
• Being punctual is extremely important.
• You must be local and have reliable transportation.
• California State Law requires a negative TB test

• Use pre-planned lessons (No need to create a curriculum. Just teach!)
• Use educational materials and methods approved by local schools (common-core aligned!)

• Classes held Monday - Thursday or Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday afternoon.
• This position is NOT REMOTE .
