Role Overview:
We are hiring a hands-on, data-oriented Business Analyst to support Client's Global Technology team during EST business hours. This role assists with data analysis to turn business questions into clear requirements and measurable outcomes, using strong SQL skills and financial data fluency. You will partner with product owner and business teams to define requirements, map data flows, validate data quality, and deliver analysis in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.________________________________________
Key Responsibilities:
Translate business problems into precise requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria; maintain and prioritize a data/analytics backlog in Jira.
Write and review SQL to explore datasets, profile data, validate logic, and perform root-cause analysis of data issues across systems.
Own data mapping documents and business requirements. Contribute to data lineage and cataloging efforts.
Partner with data engineering and reporting teams to design reports and dashboards based on collected requirements.
Triage and track data-related incidents/requests; drive issues to closure via clear communication and documented resolution.
Establish and enforce data quality checks; monitor anomalies, investigate variances, and recommend durable fixes.
Support Agile ceremonies as needed and keep stakeholders informed with status updates and risks.

Skills & Qualifications:
Capital Markets BA with Salesforce CRM knowledge.
data/business analyst role with SQL proficiency (joins, window functions, CTEs) and comfort analyzing large datasets.
Strong experience with financial data; private equity or asset management exposure preferred.
Proven ability to "get to the bottom of it": rigorous problem framing, hypothesis-driven analysis, and defensible recommendations.
Data-savvy and detail-oriented: requirements gathering, data mapping, reconciliation, and documentation that others can trust and reuse.
Tools: SQL and a modern data warehouse (e.g., Snowflake or equivalent); advanced Excel; at least one BI tool (e.g., Sigma, Tableau, Power BI).
Familiarity with Jira and ServiceNow for backlog and incident management; understanding of Agile delivery practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication - concise, structured, and audience-appropriate (from engineers to senior business leaders).
