Lead end-to-end solution architecture for VDOT enterprise applications and platforms.
Design scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions across Azure, OCI, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform.
Develop architectural blueprints, diagrams, standards, and best practices.
Define cloud adoption strategies (SaaS/PaaS/IaaS) based on business and technical requirements.
Assess existing legacy systems and build migration roadmaps to cloud environments.
Cloud Solutions
Architect multi-cloud and hybrid cloud solutions integrating Azure, OCI, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform services.
Design solutions using:
Azure: App Services, AKS, Functions, Logic Apps, ADF
OCI: OIC, OKE, Autonomous DB, Identity & Access
AWS: EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, API Gateway, ECS/EKS
Google Cloud Platform: Cloud Run, BigQuery, Dataflow, GKE
Evaluate and recommend SaaS and PaaS solutions suitable for VDOT use cases.
Integration & Data
Architect integrations using APIs, microservices, ESB, and cloud-native integration tools.
Support data migration, modernization, and cloud data architecture initiatives.
Work with ETL, messaging, and event-driven architectures.
Governance & Security
Ensure solutions comply with VDOT IT security policies, state government standards, and auditing requirements.
Implement identity, access control, encryption, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.
Provide governance guidance for cloud cost management and optimization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work with business analysts, developers, DevOps, network teams, cybersecurity, and external vendors.
Support procurement, feasibility studies, project proposals, and architectural assessments.
Guide technical teams through implementation, review deliverables, and ensure quality.
