JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Front Desk / Communications Coordinator oversees
the church\'s internal and external communications, public relations, including the church website, signage, bulletin, printed materials, direct mail, email, social media, web postings and other platforms. Produces, edits and shares church service video recordings weekly in a variety of mediums. Also responsible for administrative assistant duties including day-to-day assistance maintaining visitor confidentiality. Serves the mission of the church in all efforts with a passion for service to others. 1. Ensure accurate communication reflecting the mission and values of the church including weekly bulletins, worship service scripting, monthly newsletters, calendars, committee materials, church directory, annual report to the congregation and other mailings as requested and distributed. 2. Welcome church office visitors either in person or over the phone reporting needs to the Senior Pastor (or appropriate alternative if unavailable), always maintaining confidentiality. 3. Prepare for worship recording, record/coordinate coverage to record worship service, produce service footage and disburse content to church members, local broadcasters, and social media platforms. 4. Maintain and develop content for church website and social media platforms in collaboration with the Senior Pastor. Acts as platforms administrator. 5. Attend webinars and research tutorials to improve understanding of technology, copyright, online worship problem solving and idea sharing. 6. Collaborate with church staff and attend monthly staff meetings. 7. Purchase office supplies and schedule equipment maintenance as needed or upon request. 8. Along with the Church Council, prepare and recommend the annual budget for the church office. 9. Assist church staff and committees with clerical needs. 10. Prepare and maintain Narthex communications (bulletin boards, display cabinets, sign-up sheets) in consultation with committee members, the council, and staff. 11. Consult with Pastor/Council concerning weddings, funerals, and other building use requests. 12. Open mail and distribute correspondence and bills to the appropriate committee and/or staff member for verification/approval of payment and assignment of account number. 13. Maintain accurate records of church membership data including record births, deaths, marriages, baptisms, address changes, withdrawals, transfers, confirmations, and additions of new members. \*\** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Strong marketing and communications skills are required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, the internet and all basic office equipment are required. General office experience in day-to-day operations is required. Organization and time management skills with the ability to multitask are required. Experience in graphic design, web design, social media marketing, etc. is desired.
