The Data Entry Operator plays a vital role in providing data entry and verification support for the client. This position involves the operation of data entry equipment to code, format, and transcribe data from source documents and phone calls into a format that is suitable for storage, retrieval, processing, and manipulation within an automated system.
Qualifications
Candidates must possess journey-level experience in data entry. The ideal applicant will have a solid background in high-volume data entry, particularly within the realm of general accounting.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Review data for deficiencies or errors; correct any inconsistencies and verify output quality.
- Compile, sort, and ensure the accuracy of information to prepare source data for input into billing applications.
- Research and procure additional information for entries that are incomplete or incorrect.
- Accurately input data into designated systems and software applications.
- Review and amend data to guarantee consistency, accuracy, and reliability.
- Organize digital files for optimal access and secure storage.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve data-related inquiries and concerns.
- Adhere to company guidelines to ensure high levels of data integrity and consistency.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate's degree is preferred.
- Proficient typing skills with a speed of 30 60+ words per minute.
- The ability to efficiently manage substantial volumes of information.
