Job Description

The Director of National Events & Sponsorships is responsible for building, systemizing, and scaling Candor's investor meetup network across all 50 states.

This is a strategic and operational leadership role - part community architect, part national rollout operator. You'll work directly with the Founder and top-level leadership to design and execute a national event framework that drives brand growth, lead generation, and revenue.

The right candidate is entrepreneurial, highly organized, and thrives in an environment where they can build structure from the ground up. You'll manage senior-level agents and investor partners indirectly across multiple markets, holding them accountable for event quality, attendance, and lead conversion with professionalism and directness.

Your mission: turn Candor's investor meetups into a national movement that's consistent, profitable, and community-driven.

Key Responsibilities

National Event System & Operations

  • Develop and manage the Candor Meetup Playbook - including standardized event templates, processes, and metrics for all 50 states.

  • Oversee the national rollout of Candor Meetups - launching and supporting new markets every month.

  • Negotiate venue contracts, budgets, and sponsorship agreements.

  • Ensure all events meet brand standards and maintain profitability.

  • Create and manage the national calendar, CRM integrations, and post-event reporting systems.

Leadership & Expansion

  • Work directly with the Founder and Executive Team to set expansion priorities, timelines, and success metrics.

  • Recruit, onboard, and manage relationships with state-level meetup hosts and team leaders nationwide.

  • Hold senior-level agents and investors accountable for results - attendance, quality, and engagement - through clear, direct communication and performance tracking.

  • Represent Candor at national and regional events as the face of the expansion initiative.

Sponsorships & Partnerships

  • Build a scalable sponsorship framework that supports both local and national partners.

  • Manage sponsor relationships, placement, and ROI tracking.

  • Identify, pitch, and onboard new strategic sponsors aligned with Candor's brand and mission.

Marketing & Community Growth

  • Collaborate with Marketing to promote all events across email, social, and web platforms.

  • Ensure branding, messaging, and event collateral are consistent nationwide.

  • Oversee post-event storytelling - highlights, testimonials, photos, and case studies.

  • Track growth metrics and identify opportunities for new regional launches or event formats.

Reporting & Accountability

  • Maintain detailed reports on attendance, leads, costs, revenue, and sponsorship ROI.

  • Present monthly performance summaries to the Founder and leadership team.

  • Build a "State Performance reporting" to measure engagement and expansion progress.

KPIs / Success Metrics

  • Number of active states and meetups launched

  • Monthly attendance growth and retention

  • Sponsor acquisition, satisfaction, and renewal rates

  • Conversion rate from leads generated through events

  • Engagement and accountability of local hosts and leaders

Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in event operations, franchise or chapter-based expansion, or large-scale community development

  • Proven ability to build systems, manage budgets, and deliver measurable results

  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills (venues, sponsors, and partners)

  • Confident communicator capable of managing senior professionals with clarity and authority

  • Excellent organization, follow-through, and multitasking skills

  • Experience with CRM systems (Lofty, HubSpot, or similar)

  • Comfort with frequent travel and occasional national conference presence

  • Background in real estate, investing, or related industries preferred
