Location: St. Louis, MO
Experience Level: 3+ years
Practice Area: Employment Litigation
Salary Range (Estimated): $125,000 – $155,000 + performance-based bonus

Position Overview

A nationally recognized labor and employment law firm with more than 1,000 attorneys across major U.S. markets is seeking an Employment Litigation Associate to join its St. Louis office. The firm is consistently ranked in the First Tier nationally for Labor & Employment Litigation and Management-side Employment & Labor Law.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of litigation experience, preferably in employment law, with strong advocacy skills and the ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment. This position offers exposure to sophisticated litigation, direct client interaction, and opportunities for professional growth within a highly regarded national practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Defend and litigate employment-related lawsuits and agency charges of discrimination
  • Represent employers in court, arbitration, mediations, and administrative proceedings
  • Handle matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, employment torts, non-compete agreements, contract issues, and class/collective actions
  • Provide employers with advice and counsel on a wide range of employment laws and regulations
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, prepare motions, and manage case strategy
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues while independently managing assignments

Required Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials
  • 3+ years of litigation experience; employment law background strongly preferred
  • Active Missouri Bar admission or the ability to obtain admission promptly
  • Strong understanding of court and agency procedures at both state and federal levels
  • Excellent legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management abilities
  • Ability to multitask effectively within a fast-paced practice
  • Commitment to professionalism, teamwork, and client service
