Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM plus occasional weekday call; must be able to work weekends at least once per month
Start Date: As soon as credentialed (estimated 2–4 weeks)
End Date: Per diem coverage
Position Details:
Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
Setting: Hospital-based (St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne, PA)
Responsibilities: Pre-op physical exams, suture removal, diagnosis and treatment of illnesses, ordering and interpreting tests, assisting in surgery (including endoscopic vein harvesting and radial artery harvest), writing prescriptions, coordination of care, rounding, chest tube insertions, endoscopic retrievals
Required Procedures: Endoscopic vein harvesting, radial harvest, chest tube insertion
EMR System: Epic
Support Staff: Supervising physician on-site (Maxim Gluhovsky, MD)
Days Per Month: Per diem; minimum one weekend per month
On-Call/Weekends: Occasional weekday on-call; must cover at least one weekend per month
Submission Requirements:
Board Certified – REQUIRED
Active Pennsylvania PA License – REQUIRED
ACLS and BLS Certifications – REQUIRED
Must be Local (Only mileage reimbursement provided) – REQUIRED
Must have at least two years of cardiothoracic surgery experience – REQUIRED
Ability to perform endoscopic vein harvesting and radial harvest – REQUIRED
