Job Description

We have been exclusively retained by an early-stage, innovative law firm which seeks to hire an experienced litigator (about six or more years of litigation experience) who can work independently and is tech savvy. The firm has a strong client base in one of the most complex and fast-moving regulatory environments, and matters in this role include litigation, administrative proceedings, and regulatory work.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage litigation matters from inception through resolution, including strategy, discovery, motion practice, and client communications
• Handle regulatory and administrative matters, including Article 78 proceedings
• Draft high-quality pleadings, briefs, and regulatory submissions in a complex, highly regulated space
• Maintain up-to-date understanding and advise on evolving statutes, regulations, and agency guidance
• Work closely with the founder: receive direction and execute independently

What the Firm Seeks

• Experienced litigation attorney (approximately six or more years of experience)
• Ideally exposure to Article 78 proceedings
• Experience managing cases independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent legal writing skills (writing sample required)
• Tech-savvy and ideally using modern practice tools (AI, practice-management platforms, evolving research methods)
• New York bar admission required
• 1,750 billable hours expected

• Base salary is $150,000 to $175,000 (depending on experience)
