About the Role We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead accounting and control activities for a group of aftermarket accessory brands within a global powersports manufacturer. This role oversees financial accounting and reporting for operational, manufacturing, and go-to-market activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance while supporting growth initiatives. Reporting directly to the business unit Finance VP, you will collaborate with corporate finance, audit teams, and cross-functional leaders to drive process improvements and maintain a strong system of internal controls.
Job Description As the Controller, you will manage all aspects of financial operations for multiple accessory brands. Responsibilities include:
- Leading a team of direct reports and shared service resources to ensure timely and accurate accounting processes.
- Overseeing operational accounting, month-end close, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury functions.
- Ensuring compliance with corporate initiatives and deadlines, including financial results submission, reserve calculations, and capital reporting.
- Maintaining accurate entity-level and consolidated reporting, including loading data into financial systems (OneStream).
- Partnering with operational teams to ensure financial accuracy and strong controls.
- Supervising payroll processing for one brand and managing shared services activities.
- Designing and implementing financial controls to maintain compliance with corporate guidelines.
- Driving continuous improvement and process optimization.
- Leading and developing a high-performing team to support business growth.
- Demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics AX general ledger and related systems.
Qualifications Required: - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal control implementation.
- Experience managing monthly financial close and reporting processes.
- Proficiency with accounting and financial reporting systems; Microsoft Dynamics AX experience required.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment and influence cross-functional teams.
Preferred: - Experience with OneStream and Alteryx.
- Background in manufacturing or consumer products industries.
- Familiarity with designing and maintaining financial processes and documentation.
- D365 experience highly preferred.
