We are currently seeking a talented Roll-Off Truck Driver for our waste disposal company in Austin! This is a full-time, permanent position with significant earning potential.
This is a hands-on driving opportunity - we are seeking drivers that are comfortable working systems, physically assisting with tasks at target sites and facilities, and have familiarity with heavy equipment outside of driving. Drivers must be comfortable with customer interface, living in the solution, and taking action .
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include:
Pick up, deliver and haul solids and grit from municipal customers with tractor trailer end dump
• Pick up, deliver and haul solids from municipal customers using roll-off truck and 20 yd boxes that are set in place for loading
• (Optional) Loading of end dumps with large tractors with Company training
• Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load box on/off truck
• Follow removal instructions, and maintain compliance with all DOT, company and customer safety and operational policies and procedures
• Properly load and unload waste/boxes at various locations in a professional, courteous, timely, safe, and efficient manner
• Ensure proper load securement of equipment
• Complete manifests, logs and other paperwork accurately and timely
• Must complete a daily pre-trip and post-trip using the electronic DVIR system
Requirements
• MUST HAVE Current CDL Class A/B License
• Medically and Professionally qualified to operate a commercial motor vehicle (including passing of drug screen, MVR, PSP, Clearinghouse & other background requirements)
MUST HAVE 3+ years of commercial driving truck driving experience • MUST HAVE 1 year experience in roll-off truck
• Waste industry experience or similar, preferred
