Job Title: Utility Billing & CIS Functional Consultant

Required Skills

Working closely with stakeholders to configure, deploy, and optimize utility billing and customer information system (CIS) capabilities
Strong understanding of utility billing processes, rate structures, and regulatory compliance.
Hands-on functional and business process experience with platforms (e.g., Oracle Utilities, vxRetail, SAP IS-U, Open Smartflex).
Translate complex utility rate structures (e.g., time-of-use, tiered, demand-based) into systems billing configurations.
Collaborate with client teams across billing, operations, IT, and customer service to ensure successful CIS integration.
Manage interval data ingestion and processing workflows, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
Document functional specifications, process flows, and configuration guides.
Stay current on product updates and utility industry trends to advise clients effectively.
Experience with interval data processing and smart meter integration
Familiarity with EDI, mobile workforce management, and customer self-service portals

Work Site: Houston TX / Hybrid

Duration: 12+ Months
